The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

This week I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I really like this book. The important characters are Charlie, who is the boy who is writing the letters and who is shy and somewhat of a loner until he meets Sam and Patrick. Sam is Charlie's crush and Patricks step-sister. She is outgoing, pretty and laid-back. Patrick aka Nothing is even more laid back, "cool" and easy going.

This book is placed in many different places. He is mostly at school or at home. When he is at school he mostly talks about the classes and the outside where Sam and Patrick smoke. If he talks about the house, he usually talks about his bedroom or the living room where his entire family meets and watches t.v.

This book, to give you a quick over-view, is about a boy, Charlie, as an odd highschooler. Dealing with the everyday drama of girls, family and friends. Learning how to change from a "wallflower" to a man.

If I could, I would read this book. It is a different book. At times it can get somewhat "graffic" and can go into extreme details, but it is written like a boy writing letters. It's a different way to write. This book is funny yet devastating and it's very realistic. It's not like Chbosky is making it up but like Charlie really did write these letters. This book is like your a friend of Charlie's and he's telling you about his week. It's an interesting read.

i really liked how you focused on every part of the samon sheet and how they related to the overall reveiw. that book sounds interesting. i like the sound of the author's writing style. i like realistic books that don't over exaggerate or sound fake.
and no jared, i know you weren't asking me, but i don't have any gum, and even if i did (which i don't) i wouldn't give any to you.
